How to Join the Built for Battle TCG

Interested in being part of the first wave of Built for Battle player cards? Here’s what you need to know before signing up.

 

What You Get for $45

This is our standard entry-level package designed to get you in the game and in players’ hands at upcoming events. When you sign up and submit everything we need, here’s what comes with it:

​

  • 50 Printed Copies of your custom trading card to sell, trade, or give away as you see fit.

  • A Featured Spot in the game as a playable character in official starter decks and booster packs.

  • Social Media Promotion via Built for Battle channels (web, social, or events).

  • Photographer Credit printed directly on your card.

  • A High-Res Digital Version of your final card for your own promotion.

  • Digital Proof of your card before it’s printed, so you get a chance to approve the design.

 

This $45 helps us cover the cost of printing, packaging, proofing, and adding your card to the overall system. It’s a great way to be part of something cool and collectible from the very beginning.

 

Image Guidelines

We want your card to look amazing — and that means starting with a quality image. Please follow these guidelines:

  • Photo Type: Full-body or near full-body shots are preferred so your entire cosplay can be seen.

  • Resolution: High-resolution images only. Blurry or pixelated images will not be accepted.

  • Professional Quality: Photos should be well-lit, clean, and ideally shot by a professional or experienced photographer.

  • No Background Clutter: Solid or clean backgrounds work best for the card design.

 

Photographer Permissions

You must have permission from the photographer to use the photo for commercial use, since these cards will be printed and sold. When submitting your image, you’ll be asked to:

  • Confirm that you have the photographer’s permission to use the photo.

  • Provide the photographer’s name or social media handle so we can give them proper credit on the card.

 

We won’t move forward with card creation until we know that’s squared away.

 

Before You Submit

Once you fill out the sign-up form, you’ll receive an official Participation Agreement that walks you through all the legal stuff in plain language. The information is similar to what is provided here accept provided a second time in case you did not read this thoroughly. Acceptance and signatures are required to proceed with the creation of your card. 

 

You’ll Agree That:

  • You’re submitting your image to be used on a custom trading card for the official Built for Battle game.

  • You’ll receive 50 of those cards to distribute however you like.

  • We’ll use 50 more in the official game decks and booster packs.

  • We can promote your card as part of the game (social, website, events).

  • Your photographer is on board and will be credited.

  • You’ll get a digital proof to approve before anything goes to print.

 

Timeline (So You Know What to Expect)

Day 1 - You submit your form

Day 2–3 -You get the participation agreement

Day 4–5 - Payment is processed & we begin design

Day 7–10 - You receive a proof to approve

Day 10–14 - Final approval happens

Day 14–21 - Cards go into print production

Day 21–30 - Cards are shipped to you

 

Need Something Custom?

Want more than 50 cards? Want upgraded state or a second version? Cool — we can do that. Just select how many extra within the submission form.

 

Final Note

This sign-up only applies to the image you submit now and the card you’re creating for this first edition print run. If you want to make changes or submit something new later, you’ll just need to go through this process again.
